International Visit

The owner-operators of the Olé School of Language and Cultural Immersion (Centro de Lenguas Extranjeras y Español) visited Collier Elementary on Friday, February 9 to see the programs delivered at an Arizona community school. They also had a chance to catch up with several teachers who attended a two-week immersion program at their school in Queretaro, Mexico last June. We invite you to learn more about this visit in our recent press release.

Tips and Tricks From Your Student Achievement Coaches

Did you know that all students in K-8 grades have access to their reading curriculum online? Each student is able to log in to their reading materials by clicking on the link via the district website. Using their student login credentials will take them to Connect-ed online where they can read the story of the week, play reading games, access text at their reading level and much more!  If you need any assistance, please reach out to your child’s teacher.

Eating During the School Day

Check out his important message from our school nurse, Elena Ramirez, RN BSN about keeping your students fueled and ready to learn.

Our schools send monthly lunch menus home and you can find our menus online at our district Food Services page. With this advance information, you can plan to pack lunch on the days when the main course is one your child prefers not to eat.

Try to get your child's school to stock healthy choices such as fresh fruit, low-fat dairy products, and plenty of water.

Keep in mind food allergies when sending snacks to classroom for any celebration. Please check with teacher for any possible peanut, gluten free, etc. allergy.

School Bell Changes

To serve the efficient and safe transport needs of our bus riders better, the Littleton Governing Board made slight adjustments to the bell schedules. These changes will go into effect on Tuesday, September 27. Please take a few moments to read the informational letter outlining the changes.

Littleton District Choice Videos

Next year our district will allow students and families to pick their schools. Please take a moment to a couple short videos about our fantastic schools. Littleton District Choice Night is January 28, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Underdown Learning Center located at 1600 South 107th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85323. We encourage all current and potential parents and students to attend and select their school and program of choice.

Tax Credit Information

Reduce your Arizona state tax by contributing to Littleton Elementary District schools! The state of Arizona allows taxpayers to take advantage of wonderful tax credits. Please consider donating to the Littleton Elementary District schools. Simply download, print, and return a tax credit form to the district office or any one of our schools today. Our goal is to double the amount collected last year. We need your help to accomplish this! Remember, a tax credit is better than a tax deduction.

We have a new district Art Education page. We will be adding new things to the page in the coming weeks, so visit often.
